| Quote | Maugé (1984b) included the Red Sea in the distribution map of this species based on a single record (Tortonese, 1935-37 [1937]) that was apparently a misidentification. The description was too general and no specimen was documented for verification. Randall's (1995) mention of it from the Red Sea was based on Blegvad's (1944) study of the Arabian Gulf fishes. |
