Remarks Epipelagic to mesopelagic (Ref. 31442). Depth range between 400 to 800 m during the day, and at night it is found as shallow as 75 m (Ref. 54154). Adults feed on Sagitta, young fishes, copepods, and euphausiids (Ref. 6885). Feeds on fish and plankton (Ref. 6885).
