 Family:  Cirrhitidae (Hawkfishes)
 Max. size:  6.65 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 0 - 25 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Known only from four specimens off Ascension Islands.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found among rocks and coralline algae (Ref. 7510). Also seen in rock crevices and on scattered rubble to 25 m depth (Ref. 86997).
 IUCN Red List Status: Endangered (B2ab(iii)) (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
