 Distribution:  Western Pacific: eastern Australia. Southeast Pacific: Peru.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 44-46; Dorsal soft rays (total): 54-59; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 46-49; Vertebrae: 106-108. Distance from snout to anus 1.7-1.8 times in SL; eye diameter 4.9-5.7 times in HL; upper jaw 2.0-2.15 times in HL (Ref. 41692).
