 Family:  Batrachoididae (Toadfishes), subfamily: Porichthyinae
 Max. size:  28 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 265.0 g
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Puerto Pizzoro, Peru to the Strait of Magellan.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 33-33; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 31-31. Four lateral lines present. Caudal fin rounded (Ref. 27363).
 Biology:  Found in shallow waters.
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
