 Family:  Aracanidae (Deepwater boxfishes)
 Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 10 - 200 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: southern Australia, from southern Western Australia to New South Wales and Tasmania.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal soft rays: 10-11
 Biology:  Occurs on the continental shelf (Ref. 9563). Known in rocky reefs, usually fairly deep, including estuaries (Ref. 9002).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
