 Max. size:  30 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 200.0 g; max. reported age: 6 years
 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 0 - 550 m
 Distribution:  North Pacific: Aleutian Islands (one record) to Okhotsk and Japan seas.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found on sandy-mud bottoms (Ref. 559). Cultured and released for fishery in Japan.
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
