 Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
 Max. size:  3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 0 - 5 m
 Distribution:  Western Atlantic: southern Florida, USA and the Bahamas south to Santa Catarina, Brazil (Ref. 57756).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-9
 Biology:  Found near the water's edge on rubble bottoms (Ref. 7251). Also found in coral reefs with clear water (Ref. 13628).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
