Description: Characterized by caudal rays 10-12; without scales on head; cycloid and embedded body scales, about 100-106 in longitudinal series; greatest depth of body 19.7-20.7% SL; relatively large eye 5.3-5.7 % SL; maxillary extending beyond level of rear edge of eye (Ref. 90102). |
| Lives in the interstices of lagoon or seaward reefs (Ref. 1602). Benthic (Ref. 75154). Body covered with heavy coating of mucus (Ref. 1602). |
