 Family:  Synanceiidae (Stonefishes), subfamily: Choridactylinae
 Max. size:  25 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range - 42 m
 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: known only from off Salalah, southern Oman.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 14-14; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-9; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Caudal fin rounded, longer than head.
 Biology:  Known only from two specimens taken by trawl (Ref. 11441).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
