 Family:  Labridae (Wrasses), subfamily: Cheilininae
 Max. size:  6.28 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 37 - 46 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: known only from Tauma Bank, American Samoa.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 11-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 9-9; Vertebrae: 25-25. Median predorsal scales 5; horizontal rows of scales on cheek 1; sixth dorsal spine longest; interspinous membranes of dorsal fin of males higher than spine tips; caudal fin rounded; pelvic fin of male very long (Ref. 41654).
