 Family:  Labridae (Wrasses), subfamily: Corinae
 Max. size:  43.5 cm TL (male/unsexed); 31.1 cm SL (female)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 2 - 20 m
 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: known only from Dhofar and Masirah Island, Oman.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 12-12. Caudal fin slightly rounded.
 Biology:  Found in exposed rocky shores.
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
