 Max. size:  14.6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; depth range 0 - 150 m
 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Arabian-Indian Ridge, eastern part of the Arabian Basin, and off the Equator Seamount above the Carlsberg Rise..
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Feeds mainly on salps (Ref. 33689). Caught by midwater trawl (Ref. 28222).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
