 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean and Mediterranean Sea: Red Sea, Suez Canal, and Israel.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 99-101; Anal soft rays: 78-79
 Biology:  Not recorded from a depth of more than 135 m (Ref. 5297).
