 Environment:  demersal; depth range - 60 m
 Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: southern Brazil to central Argentina.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 19-21; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 8-9. Caudal fin shallowly emarginate (Ref. 27363).
 Biology:  Maximum length assumed to be 1.5 * 40 = 60 cm TL (RF).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
