 Max. size:  16.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  benthopelagic, potamodromous
 Distribution:  South America: Upper Paraná River basin in Brazil.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  This species is engaged in large-scale seasonal migrations in the Rio Mogi Guassu (= Mogi-Guaçu), a tributary of the upper Rio Paraná. Forty to 50-day old juveniles were reported to be zooplanktivores and the larger individuals were detrivores (Ref. 11334).
