 Max. size:  10 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Asia and Oceania: Irian Jaya in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 8-10. Specimens from the Fly-Strickland system in Papua New Guinea have lower gill raker counts (26-33 versus 35-37).
