 Family:  Congridae (Conger and garden eels), subfamily: Heterocongrinae
 Max. size:  75 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 10 - 24 m
 Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Philippines and Indonesia.
 Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 171-177. Description: Characterized by light tan to whitish color; head, body and basal part of dorsal fin with numerous closely packed brown spots; prominent white spots surrounding cephalic sensory pores; origin of dorsal fin slightly posterior to base of pectoral fins; predorsal length 13.7% of TL; preanal length 35.6-38.3% of TL; depth of body at gill opening 25.0-35.8% of head length (Ref. 90102).
 Biology:  Poorly known species found on sand in 10-24 m (Ref 90102).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
