 Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range - 10 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Malpelo Island.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found over coarse sand and gravel bottoms. Does not form schools (Ref. 9311). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
 IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (D2) (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
