 Family:  Anablepidae (Four-eyed fishes, onesided livebearers & white-eye), subfamily: Anablepinae
 Max. size:  7.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  benthopelagic
 Distribution:  South America: coastal rivers in Santa Catarina and northeastern Rio Grande do Sul States, Brazil.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-12; Anal soft rays: 9-10. With a single midlateral stripe without associated dorsolateral or ventrolateral stripes or blotches; greater than 13 relatively long and slender gill rakers on ventral limb of first gill arch; and a slightly subterminal mouth.
 Biology:  Found in streams.
