Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 22-25; Dorsal soft rays (total): 23-27; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 17-21; Vertebrae: 42-46. Dark olive green dorsally, becoming pale on sides, and silvery ventrally. Back and sides striped longitudinally with green lines and small blue dots. |
Biology: |
Found in large low tidal pools and surge channels (Ref. 9003). May be found living within soft bodied invertebrates (e.g. salps) (Ref. 9003). Juveniles probably pelagic (Ref. 48372). |
