 Distribution:  Indian Ocean: Andaman Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Zanzibar. Recorded from Mozambique (Ref. 11953).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 141-142; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 20-21
