 Distribution:  North America: Gila River system in New Mexico and Arizona, USA.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits clear and cool mountain creeks (above 2000 m elevation). May bite when handled (Bob, pers. comm., 2006).
 IUCN Red List Status: Endangered (B2ad+3c) (Ref. 96402)
