 Environment:  demersal, non-migratory
 Distribution:  Eurasia: endemic to the three freshwater lakes of the Jordan River basin, Lakes Tiberias, Hula and Muzairib, although only found in the Muzairib in recent years.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found in shallow waters near the lake shore, among stones and roots of willows.
 IUCN Red List Status: Critically Endangered (B1ab(i,ii,iii,iv,v)+2ab(i,ii,iii,iv,v)) (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
