 Family:  Tetraodontidae (Puffers), subfamily: Tetraodontinae
 Max. size:  12 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0. Head and body usually sparsely or densely covered with epidermal outgrowths or cirri (may be missing in specimens smaller than 3 cm SL); body entirely without scales; abdomen of live fish golden or orange with no other markings (Ref. 47661).
 Biology:  Found mainly in rocky habitats including rapids of the Mekong mainstream and its larger tributaries (Ref. 27661).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
