 Family:  Balitoridae (River loaches)
 Max. size:  3.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Asia: endemic to the drainages in Hainan Island, China.
 Diagnosis:  Head small and depressed; mouth small, deeply arch and without rostral groove and fold in front of mouth. Caudal fin deeply concave; pectoral fin wide and long; pelvic fin not forming sucker-shape. Body brownish yellow and with irregular black spots.
