 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 0 - 600 m
 Distribution:  North Pacific: Peter the Great Bay to Point Hope in the Chukchi Sea south to Unalaska Island and east to Kayak Island in southeast Alaska.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 63-74; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 47-55. 5 high prominences on postocular ridge (Ref. 559).
 Biology:  Adults feed mainly on polychaetes and amphipods (Ref. 27301).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
