 Distribution:  Asia and Oceania: central-southern New Guinea between the Fly River and Etna Bay.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-5; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-9; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 10-13
 Biology:  Inhabits rainforest creeks and large streams in relatively flat lowland terrain.
