 Distribution:  North America: Coastal Plain streams from Apalachicola River drainage in Florida to Pearl River drainage in Mississippi and Louisiana, USA.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Occurs usually over sand and near vegetation in flowing pools and runs of headwaters, creeks and small rivers.
