 Max. size:  5.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  benthopelagic; pH range: 7 - 7; dH range: 7 - 9, non-migratory
 Distribution:  Central America: coastal river basins of Cuba.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found in upland streams (Ref. 4537). Abundant in rivers and lakes with clear and abundant vegetation (Ref. 13498). Not a seasonal killifish. Is easy to maintain in the aquarium (Ref. 27139).
