 Family:  Sciaenidae (Drums or croakers)
 Max. size:  18.1 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range - 50 m
 Distribution:  Western Atlantic: along the northern coasts of Colombia, Venezuela, and Trinidad and Tobago.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found over sandy mud bottoms in coastal waters to about 50 m depth (Ref. 3702).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
