 Family:  Callionymidae (Dragonets)
 Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 10 - 40 m
 Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan to Australia and eastward to Samoa (Ref. 592) and Tonga (Ref. 53797).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 7-7. Body with numerous round spots. Males identified by striped dorsal fin (Ref. 48636).
 Biology:  Occurs in algal covered rocks of seaward reefs; rarely in less than 25 m in most coral reef areas (Ref. 1602, 48636). Minimum depth from Ref. 90102, common minimum depth from Refs. 1602, 48636, 34765.
