 Family:  Moridae (Morid cods)
 Max. size:  33 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 100 - 1000 m
 Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: southwestern Indian Ocean, Australia, Sumatra (Indonesia) and New Zealand. Also in the mid-south Atlantic.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 52-58; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 103-110. Second and third dorsal fins widely spaced (Ref. 1371). Color pale brown to pink (Ref. 1371).
 Biology:  Occurs on the continental slope (Ref. 9563) to more than 1,000 m (Ref. 1371).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
