 Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
 Max. size:  16.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal, amphidromous
 Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: East Africa to Japan and eastward to New Guinea. Occurs primarily in brackish tidal waters of the Mekong delta.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Occur primarily along coastlines and in estuaries, but also found in freshwater. Occasionally marketed (Ref. 12693)
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
