 Family:  Atherinidae (Silversides), subfamily: Atherinomorinae
 Max. size:  7.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Indonesia and the Philippines.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 5-6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-9; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 10-12. Eyes large, diameter equal to interorbital space. Midlateral scale count 33-37. In preserved specimens, midlateral band's upper edge visible as lighter yellow-gold or black; the series of black dots on the scale rows extend as lines below the band. Description: Characterized by having greenish grey on back; head and lower body silvery on side; with narrow siilvery midlateral stripe; lower side with 2-3 faint blackish stripes formed by dash-like marks on each scale; 17-19 predorsal scales; body depth about 4.3 in SL; upper and lower jaws with several rows of teeth, also present on vomer and palatines (Ref. 90102).
 Biology:  Appear to live in shallow waters in cays or close to shore. Nothing is known of its biology (Ref. 9760). Sometimes found in brackish marine lake (Ref 90102).
 IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (D2) (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
