 Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: No subfamily
 Max. size:  10.8 cm (female)
 Environment:  benthopelagic
 Distribution:  Asia: endemic to Lake Lanao, Mindanao, Philippines.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 5-5. Preserved color brownish dorsally, yellowish on sides and belly, silvery luster all over; lips and snout tip edged with black; fin rays dusky; scales above lateral line outlined by a band of minute black spots. Longitudinally radiating lines on scales. 9 scales between nape and dorsal; 2-2.5 scales between ventral origin and lateral line. Snout pointed.
 Biology: 
 IUCN Red List Status: Critically Endangered (A1ce) (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Described from the type specimens collected from Dansalan, Lake Lanao, Mindanao (1910, 1922). Still present in the 1982 survey (Ref. 12758). Also Ref. 70969, 94476.
