 Max. size:  13.4 cm TL (female)
 Environment:  benthopelagic
 Distribution:  Asia: Dansalan, Lake Lanao, Mindanao, the Philippines (Ref. 280).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 5-5. Preserved color brownish yellow, darker dorsally; snout and interorbital space darkest; all fins pale. Large head without sensory folds. Broad, irregular snout with small epidermal nodules and raised spots. Rim or lid of eyes very narrow and gelatinous. Lips broad and thick; uninterrupted groove behind lower lip, continuous across chin and around corner of mouth. 11 scales between nape and dorsal. Scales rather large with concentric striae.

 Country info:  Description based on a single specimen, 13.4 TL, caught by Herre at the type locality, Dansalan, Lake Lanao, Mindanao in 1921 (Ref. 2929). No specimen was caught during the 1994 sampling (Ref. 10888). Also Ref. 280, 94476.
