 Family:  Eleotridae (Sleepers), subfamily: Eleotrinae
 Max. size:  3.6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 7 - 30 m
 Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: East Africa to Society Islands.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-7; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 6-7. 5 dark bands on body; 2 dark spots at the base of the tail.
 Biology:  Lives among coral and rubble (Ref. 1602)
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
