Description: Head and dorsal body dark brown, ventrally and posteriorly light brown or tan, diagonal band yellow in males and white in females from pectoral fin base to caudal peduncle separating the light and dark areas. Body depth 2.4-2.6 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
| Usually solitary (Ref. 5213). Found on deeper coral and rocky reefs. Feeds mainly on hard-shelled prey including crustaceans, mollusks and sea urchins (Ref. 5374). |
