 Family:  Macrouridae (Grenadiers or rattails), subfamily: Macrourinae
 Max. size:  25.1 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathypelagic; depth range 399 - 1105 m
 Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: apparently confined to the Philippines but more thorough sampling in the seas off Malayan Archipelago may reveal its presence over a wider area.
