 Max. size:  9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 128 - 367 m
 Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: East Africa to Hawaiian Islands.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12; Anal soft rays: 12. Spines of first dorsal fin flexible, long and slender. Second dorsal fin with soft 12 rays (Ref 42912).
 Biology:  Inhabits continental edges (Ref. 13707); benthic on sand (Ref. 58302).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Museum: R/V 'Coriolis', SMNS 8549 (Ref. 13707). Also Ref. 75992.
