Adults inhabit brackish estuaries and medium to large-sized rivers (Ref. 2847, 12975, 48637, 44894); also in submerged bank vegetation of freshwater streams (Ref. 41184). Usually found on mud bottoms (Ref. 44894). |

Specimens were collected in 1993 from Kiga creek, Lagu Lagu creek, a small creek in Guadalupe, Leyte and from Sohoton Cave, Basey River, Samar (Ref. 7223). An ipon fish in Ilocos (Ref. 13531). Also Ref. 6802, 11344. |
