 Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Philippines; also reported from the Arafura Sea (Ref. 9819). Eastern Atlantic and Western Indian Ocean: off Transkei, South Africa and Somalia (Ref. 4181).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal spines: 2-3; Anal soft rays: 9-10
 Biology:  Shallow depth from Ref. 95664.
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Occurs around Marinduque Island and the Sibuyan and Sulu Seas (Ref. 9869). Also Ref. 95664.
