 Family:  Apogonidae (Cardinalfishes), subfamily: Apogoninae
 Max. size:  5.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 25 - 82 m
 Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Papua New Guinea (Ref. 11890) and the Philippines (Ref. 280).
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found in lagoon reefs.
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Type locality, W coast of Luzon I. (16°30'36"N, 120°11'06"E) at 82.35 m (Ref. 11356). Collected from the coast of La Union, Manila Bay, Cebu, Iloilo, Surigao Strait, and Zamboanga (Ref. 280).
