 Family:  Bothidae (Lefteye flounders)
 Max. size:  15.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 296 - 1025 m
 Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Philippines.
 Diagnosis:  Head length 5.7 times in SL (Ref 42535).
 Biology:  Known only from a depth of 296 m. Feeds on benthic animals.
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Museum: 'Albatross' collections: Between Cebu and Bohol, in 162 fathoms (296.5 m), Stn. D. 5412, USNM 93083 (holotype, 15.5 cm) (Ref. 311); East coast of Luzon, San Bernadino Strait to San Miguel Bay; Atulayan I., 0 - 560 fathoms (1025 m), USNM 93560 (Paratype) (Ref. 11790). Also Ref. 280, 9494, 9824.
