 Family:  Triglidae (Searobins), subfamily: Triglinae
 Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range - 295 m
 Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: southern Japan to the South China Sea and the Philippines. Also found in the Arafura Sea (Ref. 9819) and Australia, a new record for the northeastern Indian Ocean (Ref. 5978).
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Occurs over soft bottom of the continental shelf. Benthic (Ref. 75154).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
