 Environment:  benthopelagic
 Distribution:  Asia: Mindanao, Cuyo, Mactan, Negros Oriental and Leyte, Philippines.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Occur in mangrove and nipa swamps (Ref. 280). Fertilization is internal and eggs are attached to the substrate via adhesive filaments (Ref. 43413).

 Country info:  Specimens were collected in 1993 from Kiga creek and Ambacan River at Baybay, Leyte and from Sohoton Cave and Inuntan, Basey River, Samar (Ref. 7223). Museum: Cagayan de Misamis, Misamis Oriental, Mindanao, mangrove swamp next to Fishery Experiment Station, CAS-SU 36537 (misprinted 23637 in original description) (holotype, 2.25 cm SL, sinistral male); CAS-SU 36538 (paratypes). Negros Oriental, CAS-SU 52344, 36566, 32355; CAS 60258; MNHN 38-15; ROM 54986, 54987, 54988, 50489, 51854. Mactan I., Cebu, AMS I.21938-016. Northern end of Cuyo, Palawan, CAS 54645. Leyte, USNM 98836, 98837 (Ref. 12768). Also Ref. 94476. Endemic status computed from FishBase data (country records, occurrences records in literature and in point data) on 16/07/08.
