 Max. size:  100 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 11 kg
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 100 - 200 m
 Distribution:  Western Pacific: Japan to the Philippines.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits rocky reefs (Ref. 41299); also found near shore on rocky bottom (Ref. 11230). Neither opercular spine nor anterolateral glandular grooves with venom gland is present (Ref. 57406). Minimum depth from Ref. 41299.
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
