 Family:  Soleidae (Soles)
 Max. size:  7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 122 - 205 m
 Distribution:  Asia and Oceania: Indonesia, New Guinea and northern Australia. Reported from the Philippines (Ref. 280, 7223).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 62-72; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 45-49
 Biology:  Inhabits estuaries and the lower sections of freshwater streams, usually within 1-2 km of the sea (Ref. 2847).
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Specimens were collected from Calbiga-a creek, Leyte in 1993 (Ref. 7223). Three specimens caught at depths between 122 and 205 m during the 1976 Vauban expedition (Ref. 11148). Museum: Rio Grande, Mindanao, USNM 56164 (Ref. 9494).
