 Family:  Pleuronectidae (Righteye flounders), subfamily: Poecilopsettinae
 Max. size:  17.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 216 - 714 m
 Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Indian Ocean, Taiwan, and Timor; also from northwestern Australia (Ref. 5978).
 Diagnosis:  Body depth 3.8 to 4 times in SL. Upper-jaw length 3.6 to 3.7 times in head length (Ref 12933).
 Biology:  Feeds on small benthic animals (Ref. 9792).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
 Country info:  Reported from Davao, Mindanao, central Visayas to the west coast of Luzon; specimens caught between 247-511 m. Museum: USNM 138004 - 138015. Also Ref. 11790.
